5 Things That African Men Need To Be Great

Success is an agglomeration of many principles and techniques. It is a collection of many things. Many of us are still struggling because we don’t know what to do, and how to do it, to succeed. All of us will probably be a success if we all knew what we should do to succeed. We are all gambling in life. You do one thing, it works for you. You do another, it doesn’t work. You only need to forget about the ones that didn’t work and concentrate on the ones that work. I’m not a professional when it comes to telling people how to live their lives. I don’t know the secret to success. I just want to talk about some little five things which have worked for some people. They may help us in our pursuit of greatness:

Discovery

All you need to be great in life has been deposited in you. It is your responsibility to discover it and start deploying it. The truth is that greatness resides in all of us. Some of us are just too blind to see it. We don’t pay attention. We don’t listen to our intuition. Sometimes we are afraid. Or too busy to discover ourselves. Self-discovery is the greatest discovery. It has to do with recognizing your abilities. You should understand that whatever is not part of you cannot make you rise in life.

Imagination

We all have a picture of who we want to be and what we want to achieve in life or in the future. The future you cannot picture in your mind, you can’t feature in it. Greatness begins in the mind. Failure, sometimes, also begins in the mind. The only limit you have is in your mind. A thought of mediocrity makes mediocres, while a thought of greatness makes great men. Your life is in danger when you move with people of small minds. You must possess the mentality of an eagle.

Going The Extra Mile

Most of us stop at normal. The society wants us to be normal. But, it is good to be weird. In a positive way. It is good to be sometimes abnormal. It is good to overdo. If you want to be ahead of others, then you have got to add extra to your own efforts. There is competition everywhere, but an extra-miler will always find a place even if he doesn’t emerge a winner. We need to remember that the only difference between ordinary and extraordinary is the little extra. Champions are made in their closets. They are merely recognized on the ring. Greatness is never an accident. It is a result of activities.

Action

Greatness doesn’t come by wishing. It comes by acting. We see people who live beautiful lives and we want to be like them. But the truth is that most of us are not ready to go through the sacrifices these people have gone through. We want our lives colorful, but we are not ready to paint. We are not ready to work. The greatest law of success is action. You cannot be a player and a spectator at the same time. You have to choose one. No lazy man has a future. You can’t score six until you throw a dice. Nothing will work for you if you are not ready to work. There are two kinds of men in the world: those who make things happen and those who watch things happen.

Self-Motivation

It is the ability to motivate yourself that will keep you going in the journey to greatness. Discouragement will definitely come. You need to believe in yourself even if no one believes in you. There are times you will fail. You will need to be strong enough to admit your failures and move on. It is not going to be an easy ride, but you must find a way to travel. People will disappoint you. They will look down on you. They will ridicule you. When these things happen, just remember that you are strong. And that you are capable of achieving greatness. This is my message to African men. I will see you again.
