Jordan Brand surprises us with yet another release while focusing on the Air Jordan 18 silhouette. After dipping the 18 installment in the OG Sport Royal edition earlier this year, the company is now providing fans with a new colorway under the name of “Toro”. With the initial Raging Bull Defining Moments Pack reselling somewhere at $1500, the new Air Jordan 18 Toro silhouette is definitely worth check out if you’re a fan of the OG Black and Red color scheme. Let’s break down the upcoming release.
Based on the ultra popular Bred color scheme, the new release features a Red suede upper combined with Black accents on the lining, the midsole and on the mini Jumpman. The number “23” can be seen up front, on top of the tongue with a removable shroud covering the lacing system and the icy translucent outsole completing the overall design. The final result is something that can set you apart on and off court since the pair has the ability to match any casual outfit we can think of.
We mention that while thinking of all the tracksuit and sweatpants lovers who are constantly looking to freshen up their outfit with a crispy pair of kicks. Most times, a sports-like outfit makes you look like you just came out of jogging but with the right pair of kicks you can pull this out even in your work environment if your boss allows it. Now, let’s get back to the Air Jordan 18 Toro.
Despite not being part of the “Raging Bull” pack, the shoes earned the name “Toro” due to their resemblance to the popular Air Jordan 5 Retro from 2009. As we all know, the Air Jordan 5 Retro from 2009 is another high-valuable release that’s highly praised by Jordan Brand fans. Far fetched but judging by the sharp looks of the Air Jordan 18 “Toro”, this also seems like a pair that MJ would have been proud to wear in his latest season on court.
The new release started to retail at Jordan Brand authorized dealers on April 7th under the official name of Air Jordan 18 Toro “Gym Red” for the price of $225 USD. You can check out more photos with the kicks below but don’t forget to share your thoughts on the new Jordan Brand release in the comment section. Is it worth copping the Air Jordan 18 Toro for $225 or should Jordan Brand take a chill pill on their price requests?
